An original concept for an ongoing, high-fantasy graphic novel

SYNOPSIS

The Gods of the Old World used to choose a human host to inhibit every one-hundred and fifty years, though an ancient evil has now resurfaced and is slowly killing the deities one by one. The only way to stop this atrocity, is too obtain a mythical object simply known as the "Blood Stone," in which was said to be made up entirely of the blood of gods, containing an astonishing amount of power. Two human vessels, a young theif, Isolde Brykon and a lonely prince, Elijah Carventia, soon form a psychic connection after discovering shards of the ancient Blood Stone, and hope to rid themselves of the burden of being a host to the ancient forces. However, they soon realize that their responsabilty may be far greater than they could ever predict.

LINEUP

Isolde Brykon is a professional thief and the chosen host for Tenebris, the deity of the unknown, death, and darkness. Despite her importance, she is rather ashamed of her position and hides this knowledge, hoping one day to banish the deity. Though she presents herself as stubborn and headstrong, Isolde keeps her relationships at bay out of fear one day Tenebris might errupt cand cause irreversible damage. Wanting to be free of the deity, Isolde seeks out the Blood Stone, but ultimately ends up discovering a prince with a similar dilemma.  

CHARACTER SYNOPSIS

ISOLDE BRYKON

ELIJAH CARVENTIA III

Elijah is a young prince and is the current host of Lux, the deity of hope, beginnings, and light. He is the second heir to the Centhosian throne, but must decide to either abdicate his position, or accept remaining as the host of Lux. Due to his position, Elijah was sheltered his whole life making it difficult for him to make discussion with anyone, except for his sister Sophronia, and his a young palace servant, Kem. He is quiet and obedient, not wanting to displease his family or Lux, awaiting the day that he can possibly be free of his obligation. Upon uknowignly discovering the Blood Stone, he forms a psychic connection with a young thief whom is also seeking to rid herself of the responisbilites of a vessel.

Reighton is an ancient deity of life that has now been nicknamed the “god-killer.” Originally known as the “Tree of Life,” Reighton’s arms, as discovered by her sister the deity of the skies, were created to make more gods, in which she willingly offered up for the sake of new creation. However, over time, she grew more and more wrathful towards her sister and released her “corruptions,” a violent species that possesed and killed anything in it’s path. Reigton began her quest to reclaim her arms, by killing the gods that were created by it. As she grew more powerful, the gods were forced into hiding by possesing the mortal beings of the world while Reighton’s sister was able to null her power. Recently regaining some of her strength, Reighton is awakened by the blood-stone, and now seeks to find the remaining gods to reclaim her power
